Choose from a variety of classes available at our club, including classes that are included in memberships and that are currently free for Peak Club members.

Functional Training

 

Daily Functional Fitness classes for all levels of fitness, included in your membership*.

*Free for all members except Gym Package and Racquet Package members. Each member can book a maximum of 3 classes per week. To book a slot, please click here (members only, slots open 3 days in advance).

  • Functional training is a term used to describe exercises that help you perform activities in everyday life more easily.

    These exercises typically use the whole body — definitely multiple muscles — and emphasize core strength and stability.

    By mirroring the movements of your daily life, like squatting, reaching, or even carrying a heavy object, building functional strength can help increase your quality of life and reduce your risk of injury.

  • Foundation Classes (Introduction to Functional Fitness).

    Workouts that involve the practice of basic functional movements.

    Dedicated for beginners with minimal functional fitness experience.

    Fitness Level: Beginners
    Ages: 15 year olds and above

  • All-round Functional Fitness session.

    Part strength and resistance training and part metabolic conditioning training.

    Scaleable workouts for all levels of fitness.

    Fitness Levels: All levels of fitness: Beginners, Intermediate & Experienced
    Ages: 15 year olds and above

  • Practice drills and focus on progressing into functional compound movements with weights.

    Front Squats, Back Squats, Deadlifts, Cleans, Shoulder Press, Jerks, Snatch.

    Safe progressive overload ensures do-ability for all levels of fitness.

    Fitness Levels: All levels of fitness: Beginners, Intermediate & Experienced
    Ages: 15 year olds and above

  • Endurance based workouts with lighter weights but higher repetitions and volume.

    Incorporates body weight movements with resistance training.

    Slam ball, wall ball, dumbbell, kettlebell.

HIITStep by Sufri

Aerobic step exercise class that takes advantage of the high intensity benefit of HIIT training. It's fast, it's all-out, it's intense. The workouts are generally pretty quick; although, during that short time you're giving 100% effort into your workout.
