1-THE CIRCUIT
Sequence
Teams will be asked to confirm beforehand the order in which each team member will perform The Circuit.
The confirmed sequence cannot be changed once the workout starts.
Any reps performed by an athlete that’s not in the correct sequence will not be counted.
15 Cal Row
Athletes row on a Concept2 RowErg.
Athletes can only start rowing when they are seated, with both feet on the foot plates.
Damper settings may be adjusted as many times as needed.
The rower handle must be placed back into the holder before removing feet from the foot plates.
The athlete can move on to the next station after receiving the judge’s confirmation of completion of 15 calories.
The next working athlete may sit down and get ready on the RowErg (without touching the handle) while waiting for the athlete to complete his/her circuit.
Any infringement will result in a 15-point penalty.
20 Alternating Dumbell Snatches
15kg dumbbell for men and 10kg dumbbell for women
The rep starts with both heads of the dumbbell touching the ground.
The athlete grips the dumbbell with one hand and lifts it up overhead in one smooth, continuous motion.
A rep is complete and counts when the dumbbell is locked out overhead with arms, hips, and knees fully extended, and the weight is in line with or behind the body.
The athlete’s non-working arm must not be used to assist the working arm during the lift.
Repetitions must alternate between the right and left arms. Switching arms can only occur when the dumbbell is on the ground.
Any infringement will result in a no rep.
The athlete can move on to the next station after receiving the judge’s confirmation of completion of 20 reps.
10 Box Step Overs
24-inch box height for men and 20-inch box height for women
Athletes start with two feet on one side of the box, then step up onto the box and step down/jump down to the opposite side.
Jumping onto the box is not allowed.
Both feet must touch the top of the box first before stepping/jumping down.
A rep is complete when both feet are on the ground on the opposite side of the box.
There’s no requirement to stand tall on top of the box.
Any infringement will result in a no rep.
The next working athlete can only start rowing after the current working athlete receives the judge’s confirmation of completion of 10 reps.
2-THE ENGINE
Max Calories on AssaultBike
While one team member performs The Circuit, the remaining team members take turns (in any order) working to get the maximum number of calories on an Assault Fitness AssaultBike.
Team members can switch anytime they want.
